It’s often said that we are a nation of immigrants. We at the ICM believe that recent immigrants should be understood as an integral part of the fabric of our society, from the very moment they arrive. They are part of us, even before they learn our customs and language, just as earlier generations stepped off the boat and into our history.
Our cooperative will continue its efforts to increase mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence by removing linguistic and cultural barriers between people. We stand by our commitment to language justice as an essential component of justice for all.
